Všichni jste zároveň žáci, praktikanti a učitelé.

Welcome to Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases
Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases covers all aspects of prostatic diseases, in particular prostate cancer. The journal is of interest to surgeons, oncologists, clinicians and researchers involved in diseases of the prostate. The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, topical comments and critical appraisal of scientific meetings.
Finding the Fingerprints of Prostate Cancer. A recently developed reagent may represent a potent addition to clinicians’ arsenal for the detection of prostate cancer. Roughly two-thirds of prostate tumors exhibit excessive activity of the gene encoding the ERG transcription factor. A study published by Shiv Srivastava, Isabell Sesterhenn and colleagues demonstrates that cancer cells can readily be detected in human tissue samples using ERG-binding antibodies developed by their team. Read the article.
Impoving blood loss preparation. Age and preoperative PSA may not indicate a patients estimated blood loss (EBL) during radicalprostatectomy. Read how high BMI and large prostate size could better indicate individual blood loss during surgery.
Gene therapy for prostate cancer. Prostate cancer affects one in six men and is the second leading cause of cancer death among men in the US. Gene therapy shows promise as a treatment strategy that can target both localized and metastatic prostate cancer. View this web focus to read more about the field of prostate cancer gene therapy.
