Začínáme seriál snídaňové fyziky, ve kterém se dozvíte o objevu, učiněném americkým profesorem při snídani, a vydaném následně v prestižním časopisu Nature.

Vyzkoušet si ten objev můžete i doma, stačí, když si na stůl vylijete kávu. Prozkoumat ostatně můžete i vlastní otisky prstů. Propátráme Meteor, který o perspektivě výzkumu pravěkých otisků vysílal v roce 1979 a zajímat se budeme, jak se tento vědecký obor rozvinul. Připomeneme slavné objevy loňského roku, i hlouposti, vyslovené vloni známými osobnostmi. Vědecko-populární pořad Českého rozhlasu

Populárně-vědecký magazín pro ty, kteří mají přemýšlivý vztah k přírodě, k vesmíru a k poslání člověka. Pořad pro mladé věkem i duchem, tedy ty, kdo se rádi pouští do světa fantazie proto, aby poznali víc. Meteor přináší každý týden reportáže, rozhovory a dokumenty o všem, co stojí za to vědět. V Meteoru vzniklo mnoho významných rubrik, které časem začaly žít vlastním životem. Jednou z nich je projekt Hlas pro tento den, odvysílaný poprvé 21. března 1968. V téže době Meteor vysílal rubriku Šest na bidýlku, připravovanou autorskou dvojicí Zdeněk Svěrák a Miloň Čepelka. V roce 1978 pořad inspiroval básníka Jaroslava Seiferta zveřejněním nahrávek hlasové komunikace velryb keporkaků, natočených americkými biology Rogerem Paynem a Katherine Paynovou. A novel triangle mapping technique to study the h-index based citation distribution

The h-index has received wide attention in recent years. The area under the citation function is divided by the h-index into three parts, representing h-squared, excess and h-tail citations. The h-index by itself does not carry information for excess and h-tail citations, which can play an even more dominant role than h-index in determining the citation curve, and therefore it is necessary to examine the relations among them. A triangle mapping technique is proposed here to map the three percentages of these citations onto a point within a regular triangle. By viewing the distribution of mapping points, shapes of the citation functions can be studied in a perceivable form. As an example, the distribution of the mapping points for 100 most prolific economists is studied by this technique.
