Brewer's yeast

Brewer's yeast are waste yeast obtain in brew house. Liquid or pressed yeast are usually dried for feed mixtures processing. Their colour is biscuit or darkly brown, look like a potato flakes. Taste and aroma are yeasty, slightly bitter as beer. It is needed to adapt animals for feeding in fresh state. It is valuble feedstuff, on average it contain cca 51.5 % of crude protein in dry matter, whereas biological value is high. They are also reputable for their vitamins content, mainly B group. Usually contain ergosterol, eventually vitamin D2 after insolation. They are suitable component to feed mistures for poultry and pigs.
