Oat has middle crude protein content and lower energetic value. Has higher fibre level and, in comparison with wheat, barley and rye, has higher content of fat. It has good dietetic value, some components of nitorgen-free extract create mucus with possitive effect on digestion. It is extra suitable for horses and all young and breeding animals. Fibre takes slightly excitable effect on paries medialis thereby support digestion. Regarding to higher fibre content and lower energtic value is used less in feed mixtures for poultry. Grown is also naked oat, who has, in comparison with oat, lower level of fibre.
Oat contains avenin alcaloid, who is cause for good dietetic quality and good taste. Generally, avenin is stimulant cerebral [and advances libido] of animals and humans.
