Barley

Barley, in comparison with wheat, contain less starch, have lower energetic value and more fibre. Level of crude protein is 11 %. Barley have good dietetic qualities and possitive influence on meat and fat quality. It is suitable mainly for fattening pigs and beef-cattle. Usage in poultry nutrition is lower because of NSP (non-starch polysacharides) content, namely beta-D glucans and pentosans.
