Maize

Maize have very low content of non-starch polysacharides (NSP), hence high energetic value. It contains less crude protein than others cereals, but have higher content of fat than wheat, rye and barley.

Maize have universal usage in nutrition of animals. If it is placed in higher level on feed mixture for pigs, fat has softer consistence. It contains carotenoids who have positive influence on yolk colour.

Feeding recommendation

Level of maize in feed mixtures for pigs cannot be higher than 50 % of total content of cereals (soft consistence of fat). If higher level of maize is fed, it is also needed to feed higher level of legumes who takes possitive effect.

Never scrap to reserve - go bad quickly!!!!
